January and February

9th Feb 2023

The senior classroom have been working hard since returning from the Christmas break. We have been engaging in a lot of STEM activities to get us designing and problem solving. We were given an A4 sheet in pairs and had to decide which way was best to cut and stick it to make the longest possible line.

We have also been completing some group work which involved further exploration of January's theme - plants. Group one researched different types of plants, flowers and trees on the laptops and iPads. We will use this information to do a project. Group two designed plants and creations using Lego. Group three used leaves and plants to design an image. They moved something small in their picture each time and compiled these pictures to make a short movie. Group 4 did procedural writing, explaining how to plant cress seeds and they then did this themselves in person. Finally, group five created 3D hearts using cardboard and wool. Take a look at some of our work in progress!
