Science Week

18th Nov 2022

This week has been a busy one for the Senior Classroom. We started the week playing in the Mini 7's competition in Tubbercurry. Both the boys and the girls teams put on a brilliant display of skills and teamwork to represent our school extremely well. Our girls had a very young side but that didn't stop them getting stuck in and impressing with their courage and determination. We had a great mixture of youth and experience with the 6th class girls being great role models for the 3rd and 4th class girls who played their hearts out. Our boys narrowly missed out to Holy Family by 1 point in the decider of who would progress onto the next round. Our boys played brilliantly as a team, proving to be a solid unit in the backs with some lovely passing and scoring further up the pitch. A massive well done to all of the children who were so well behaved and showed great sportsmanship throughout the whole day. Well done to Oisín Dolan and Megan McSteen who did us proud when representing our school in a kicking competition after the games.

This week was also Science Week in the school so we have been busy carrying out different experiments throughout the week. Take a look at a few of our photos.
